Duo Exhibition
Nordin & Aziehj

Solo Exhibition

Realism Vs Abstract Impressionist
The concept of art has always been open, subjective and debatable. What is most important would be how art is used to arouse bottled up emotions, heal emotional wounds and inspire humankind.
That is why in the up and coming exhibition by two talented and emerging Malaysian artists, art lovers will be able to share and join in their artistic journey through 20 paintings shown in their own unique expressions via their individual creative art works.
The duo combination of Nordin Yunus and AzieHJ emerged into the Malaysian art scene with one purpose, which is to heal the world through art. Their specific art genres will be displayed at the exhibition entitled “Journey of Dreamers”. This will be their first exhibition together and it is organized by Art Market Malaysia at their mini gallery, located in DaMen Mall, USJ, from 4th April until 14th April 2019.
Nordin Yunus had served in the military for 30 years before he took up art again after his retirement. Skilled in various media such as water colour, ink, oil etc he incorporates a variety of techniques in his creative process. His subject matter focuses mainly on nature where hope is apparent through his realism genre. The difference could be found in his duo partner’s AzieHJ’s work where her bright, intense colours with heavily layered impasto effects are transformed thematically into an element of mystery. This is how she provides abstractism in healing both the mind and its spiritual aspects. Together, their combination provides a balance between realism which shows the lighter and obvious side of life while abstract impressionism shows a darker, less obvious side.
Both artists travel the world, and have been awarded for their work which both hopes to optimize. Ultimately, both Nordin and Azie are passionate on using their artistic talents to inspire and move forward as internationally acclaimed artists.
